Another year...

So it is New Years Eve 2008. I would like to take a moment and reflect on all the things that have happened the past 12 months. On second thought, no I don't. Honestly the year went by so quickly that I don't remember half of the stuff that went on. There were too many deaths to even count , but there were alot of great times on the other hand. So as I eat the last of the Christmas ham and look forward to the evening festivities I would like to wish everyone a Happy and Prosperous New Year!

Merry Christmas!

So I had a nice little write up and I walk away for literally 1 minute and it's gone. Oh well. Lets try again. So it's Christmas morning. I awoke around 730 and couldn't wait to open presents. My wonderful husband bought me a Sidney Crosby jersey, a long sleeve penguins shirt and a new camera! I got a camera last year but about 2 months ago it broke. Being that the holiday season was looming ahead I didnt send it back to get fixed, so Brandon bought me a new one that he says is even better than the other. I still intend on sending it back to get fixed just so there is a back up. We went to church last night and had a very nice service. Then we headed to mom and dad's for tids and bits. Or as my bro-in-law Brian says "titts and bits". seriously he never heard of the term "tids and bits". oh my. So now we're watching the traditional Christmas movie "A Christmas Story". So now Im going to sign off and get ready to go to mom and dads and open the first round of presents. So Merry Christmas to all and to all a good day.

Here comes Santa Claus, Hannukah, Kwanza?

So it is 4 days till Christmas!! I am in the process of cleaning the spare bedroom up for the arrival of our company on Tuesday night. Brandon's cousin T.J and his wife Giedre are staying with us over the holiday. I was quite excited that I cleaned out my closet and got rid of a LOT of clothes. I freecycled 1 big garbage bag and the rest is going to Sissy. Didnt realize that I was wasting so much space. So now I'm printing out some certificates for Christmas presents. I am going to take my dad to the Pittsburgh Glass Center to do a 2 hour glass blowing class! He has always been fascinated by that and I think it's just awesome how they do it. My Aunt Teresa however is getting the gift of a clean house. I think I may have written how her house is going to the dumps and I thought that if I were to do a monthly cleaning certificate I would know that the house was getting cleaned and kept up on a regular basis. I am ready to throw the damn desktop out the freakin window. My next job is to get all the pics off the computer in the hopes that it will speed up the system. Oh so many things to do, I am signing off to start the next....

Seriously?!?

So I came home last night from work put down all my crap and as always look to see what came in the mail. I didnt even get fully turned from the counter when I saw it. An envelope from the Armstrong County Courthouse. I have been summoned for Jury Duty in February. Brandon enters the room , which at this point I am cussing to make a sailor blush at the shear disbelief that they would send me such a thing. Don't they know who I am ? Don't they know how busy I am . So looking at the questioneer that they sent I think I will be ok. I will be writing to be excused due to being self employed. If that doesn't work I might have to tell them how I just love Capital Punishment!

Monday!

So it is 916am on Monday and I am at Panera Bread! Brandon got up earlier than I thought he was supposed to and not getting back to sleep I decided to get up and get my day going. I have to pick up Dawson after school so I thought that I would come to Butler and get some shopping done for Christmas. I left the house about 720 and did some dumpster diving but came up empty handed. So feeling hungry and needing to email sister I am sitting here with my Latte and bagel, and thought I would update the blog. Yesterday was a VERY productive day. I attempted to sleep in but that failed at 715, (of course I went to sleep ap 945 sat night) so off I was. I decorated the tree, baked cookies,did laundry,cleaned the bathroom and kitchen and folded and put away clothes all b4 lunch. So after that I just chilled and watched tv. So I have been knitting scarves like crazy and think I have twice the amount that I need for the family. oops. I am going to make a hat for Dawson that has a mohawk down the center Here's a pic

i think I'll make black with blue or purple hair. I will definately be making one for myself also! Found the pattern so I am in good shape. Scarves on hold and watch out FauxHawk!! So I'm going to pack up and head to Target and see what's there. I will post a pic of the first hat as soon as I am done with it. Happy Shopping and Good Day.

Tuesday has arrived.......urgh

So it is 855 am and I have been at work for almost an hour already. I decided that since I have a short week anyways that I would come to work 8-5 Tuesday and Wednesday. So here I am. The weekend was crazy and glad it's over. Saturday I was at the shop from 8-530 then Sunday I went to Greensburg with Denise to a big craft show. We left at 7am and got home at 7pm. I sold enough stuff to pay for my table and thats about it. I got some serious Christmas shopping done though. Then on the way home we decided to go Dumpster Diving. We scored 5 bags of big ass chunks of foam from Linens and Things, 5 promo video game posters from a game store, 50 halloween cards from Hallmark, and the best for last... 5 large glass canisters with lids (like the old candy stores have) from Big Lots! We were not prepared in the least for diving but did what we could, and had fun doing it. So did some more shopping yesterday and got some redding up at the house done also. Brandon is coming home tonight from his Bear trip. No one at the camp even saw one , I actually dont think that they went out though. So Im going to pull out the old knitting now and occupy myself until some old fart comes for a haircut.

So Tuesday (yes I know it is Saturday) was elections at the firehall and I have loved keeping everyone (Rhonda) in suspense. Well votes counted, no chads I was elected President! According to the rules of ethics my minions are to call me Madam President. I think thats a little extreme so I'm just going with Madam. So first thing on my agenda??? I have no freakin clue. So I am eating my breakfast at work and hoping to get some shit cleaned up since we got Open House this afternoon (yippee, oh that was sarcasm). Then home to spend time with my boys and get the jewels ready for tomorrow. So I will try to post tomorrow evening and hopefully tell you of all thye money I have made, so until then GO PENGUINS!!!
